gold vinyl fruit bowls by seager sound

Metallic gold vinyl bowls

I’ve been making vinyl LP bowls for friends and family for around two or three years now and although they do well, jet black can be a tricky colour for interiors unless your a fan of monochrome. It was about time some colour was thrown around.

Experimenting one night last week and making a right mess of my garage, I carefully coated the underside of an LP in an antique gold metallic enamel (not your run of the mill spray paint!) making sure to preserve the centre circle. I guessed if I was careful the results would be good after a few layers and displaying them in the light after drying, it was worth the mess. More to come!
